NVIDIA's Latest Entry-Level Gaming GPU: Custom GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB Graphics Cards

NVIDIA recently introduced a new entry-level gaming GPU, the custom GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB graphics cards, as part of their return to Ampere City. While the absence of a reference model may suggest low expectations, Team Green's partners have surprised with a diverse range of options. Galax kicked things off last month with a low-profile white design, ideal for super compact low-power builds. ASUS is also preparing its own dual-fan low-profile models, as seen on official product pages. Although release dates and price points for the reference-clocked GeForce RTX 3050 LP BRK 6 GB card and its OC sibling have not been revealed, ASUS believes both models offer high productivity in a small package.

Enthusiasts of low-profile cards have welcomed the new GeForce RTX 4060 GPU-based solutions from ASUS and GIGABYTE. However, reported MSRPs of $300+ may deter budget-conscious buyers. A sub-$200 price point is more appealing, especially for system builders less concerned with cutting-edge gaming performance. The inclusion of a DVI-D connector ensures legacy compatibility, along with modern ports like HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4a. ASUS has not disclosed pricing for the GeForce RTX 3050 LP BRK 6 GB card and its OC variant, but their Dual and Dual OC models typically retail between $170 - $180. Industry experts predict that the LP BRK designs may come with a slight premium compared to standard-sized products.
