First Look: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D AM4 10th Anniversary Edition Retail Packaging

The first image of the retail packaging for the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D AM4 10th Anniversary Edition desktop processor has surfaced, offering a glimpse at AMD’s latest tribute to its enduring AM4 platform. This special edition processor marks a fresh production run of the highly regarded Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which originally debuted in 2022 as a direct response to Intel’s 12th Gen Core “Alder Lake” series. The original model was discontinued in 2023 following the launch of AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series based on the Zen 4 architecture.

AMD is celebrating a decade of the Socket AM4 platform by reintroducing its fastest gaming processor for this socket. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition is identical to the 2022 version, featuring the same OPN (Ordering Part Number) and technical specifications. The main distinction lies in its packaging: the processor comes in the familiar Ryzen 5000 series retail box, but with updated inserts highlighting “3D V-Cache technology” and a unique badge that reads “AMD AM4 10th Anniversary Edition.”

This commemorative release underscores AMD’s commitment to supporting the AM4 ecosystem, which has been a cornerstone for PC builders and gamers over the past decade. While the existence of this special edition processor was leaked earlier in the week, official details regarding its launch date and pricing have yet to be announced.
