Lenovo Releases New ThinkVision Displays

Lenovo has recently launched two new ThinkVision displays, the P27pz-30 and the P32pz-30. These office monitors offer impressive features such as 1,152 local dimming zones and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. What sets them apart is the incorporation of a USB4 input, which is uncommon for Mini LED monitors. Both models come with IPS panels and a resolution of 3840 x 2160. They also have a typical brightness of 650 nits, DisplayHDR 1000 certification, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and a response time of either 4 or 6 ms depending on the mode. Additionally, they support 99 percent Adobe RGB and 98 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. However, it's important to note that the panel is an 8-bit+FRC panel and not a true 10-bit panel. The only downside is the 60 Hz refresh rate, which may be disappointing for some users considering these displays are primarily designed for productivity.

Connectivity and Features

In terms of connectivity, the displays offer a wide range of options. Alongside the USB4 input, which also supports DP Alt mode and 140 W USB PD, both models include two HDMI 2.1 and one DP 1.4 input, as well as one DP 1.4 output. Furthermore, there is one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 input, one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 output with 15 W USB PD support, four USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5 mm audio output. It's worth mentioning that the USB4 solution seems to be based on VLI's VL830 or VL832 endpoint devices, as there is no USB4 output available. Both models also come with built-in KVM functionality, a smart sensor, an internal power supply, and a height-adjustable stand that can tilt and pivot.

Pricing

The price for the 27-inch P27pz-30 is set at €1,699, while the 32-inch P32pz-30 is priced at €1,999.
